Delicious, full of flavour, creamy, are just a few characteristics of this pie! I received many compliments for this pie and I’m baking it pretty often because I cannot fail with it. Easy and simple in a few steps you have a great dessert for you and your guests.
Making the dough
We mix the egg, butter, sugar, flour, baking powder and vanilla sugar in a large bowl and knead into a smooth dough. When the dough is tight in the ball, it is ready to be wrapped in cling film and left in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Turn the oven on high and low heat to 180 degrees.
Preparing the filling
While the dough sits in the fridge, clean the apples and cut them into small slices (not cubes and not long strips). Blend the mangoes in a blender and puree them. Mix the apples with the mango puree.
Take the dough out of the fridge, divide it 1/3 and 2/3.
Preparing the form
Grease the baking tin with butter and sprinkle with flour. Lute the 2/3 piece of dough, roll it out and put it in a round baking tin. Prick the dough with a fork all over the surface of the dough. Sprinkle cinnamon on the dough.
Add the apple mixture and mango puree.
Cover
We will spread the remaining dough all over, to cover the apple mixture and mango puree. Put the nuts in a frying pan and roast them a bit, then sprinkle them all over the surface of the cake.
Bake
Put the form in the preheated oven for 50 - 60 minutes. When take it out let it cool down for at least 1 hour.
Enjoy! :)
