You can go to work, clean your house or whatever is on your schedule on that day and later on, in another 20 minutes you have the cookies baked and ready to enjoy.
Making the dough
Mix the butter with the cream cheese with a mixer. Add in 100g sugar, the vanilla sugar and the egg yolk. Mix the flour and baking powder and add them to the butter-cream cheese mixture and stir with a spoon until you have a good mixed dough.
Forming the dough
Spread the dough between two layers of cling film until it forms a rectangle (about 20 x 30 cm) Peel off the top sheeting.
Add the cinnamon
Brush the dough with melted butter, mix the remaining sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and sprinkle generously over the dough.
Refrigerate
Wrap the rectangle of dough on the narrow side using the cling film. Wrap tightly in foil and refrigerate for 3 hours.
Preheat oven to 180°C, fan and line a baking tray with paper.
Remove the roulade from the fridge, cut into slices about 1/2 cm thick and place them on the tray on the baking paper.
Bake the biscuits for 12 minutes.
Enjoy with a cup of milk or with a cup of coffee! :)
