  1. Making the dough

Mix the butter with the cream cheese with a mixer. Add in 100g sugar, the vanilla sugar and the egg yolk. Mix the flour and baking powder and add them to the butter-cream cheese mixture and stir with a spoon until you have a good mixed dough.

  2. Forming the dough

Spread the dough between two layers of cling film until it forms a rectangle (about 20 x 30 cm) Peel off the top sheeting.

  3. Add the cinnamon

Brush the dough with melted butter, mix the remaining sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and sprinkle generously over the dough.

  4. Refrigerate

Wrap the rectangle of dough on the narrow side using the cling film. Wrap tightly in foil and refrigerate for 3 hours.

  5. Preheat oven to 180°C, fan and line a baking tray with paper.

  6. Remove the roulade from the fridge, cut into slices about 1/2 cm thick and place them on the tray on the baking paper.

  7. Bake the biscuits for 12 minutes.

Enjoy with a cup of milk or with a cup of coffee! :)
