You can do it with almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts or whatever nuts you want. This recipe is for a small 21 cm tin. If you want to use a bigger baking tin, adjust the quantities accordingly.
Preheat the oven. 160 degree, ventilation.
Mix butter with sugar until creamy.
Add the eggs gradually and continue mixing.
Add vanilla sugar, ground pistachios and continue mixing.
Add the milk… mix
Add the flour, yeast, salt and mix.
Bake for 50 minutes.
In a sauce pan, add the juice of the orange, the chopped pistachios and the sugar and boil them briefly until the sugar has melted.
When the cake is baked, let it cool 20-30 minutes and then pour the topping all over the cake.
